For a second year running, four Fit2Fit Accredited Face Fit Testing Technicians from equipment Specialist, ESS Safeforce, provided on-site Face Fit Testing to a staggering 80 Operatives at a major UK Power Station.
A rapid response time, backed up by a dedicated team of four Face Fit Testers, enabled ESS Safeforce to test all 80 Operatives in the space of one day, via a 4 x per 25 minute schedule.
Testing was carried out on the ESS Safeforce recommended, Alpha Solway 3030v FFP3 Disposable Mask due to its exceptional level of protection.
A team of qualified respiratory support experts arrived at the Power Station at 6.00am to carry out inductions for safety on-site, bringing along with them four new PortaCount Pro+ testing machines. Suitable for testing all types of Masks, including Full Face Masks, Half Masks and Disposable Respirators, each machine provides the fastest and easiest approved fit test method.
Testing took place with no issues, ensuring that the selected Respiratory Protective Equipment had the potential to provide adequate protection for each user.
On completion of the testing a report was generated detailing the fit test results - only two Operatives required a smaller mask.
After a successful day of Face Fit Testing, personnel familiarised themselves with the Mavis Nye Foundation, an industry specific charity that ESS Safeforce take pride in supporting. The national charity was created to inspire and support victims of mesothelioma, an asbestos related terminal cancer.
