Everything from complex plant operations, right through to the simplest type of operation such as the cleaning of storage vessels, are well recognised for the dangers posed by confined space working and in particular, potential oxygen depletion, explosive atmospheres and hydrogen sulphide.

Tragically, those killed in such accidents are often the people who attempt to rescue others working in the confined space but without the correct training or equipment.
