The BACT.1 has been designed in conjunction with a major oil company and built to the highest standards, using the latest technology that includes improved safety features and a control panel that is easy to use. It has been designed to ensure that it is easily manoeuvred and has an integral lifting eye that enables it to be craned directly on to plant. It is a self-contained, high-pressure cylinder breathing-air supply, mounted on a road towable chassis. It is intended to supply up to four people wearing positive pressure demand-type or constant flow breathing apparatus. Mounted on a steel frame, supported by high strength securing clamps, four 68-litre capacity cylinders with maximum operating pressure of 300 bar are connected to the control panel. Reserve (back-up supply) is provided by three 9 litre – 200 bar cylinders. The whole system is enclosed via powder coated steel panels with lockable access doors at the front.
