Breathing Apparatus should be used when working in an environment where there is the potential to be exposed to hazardous substances or environments e.g. adhesives, paints, cleaning agents, dust fumes, gas vapours etc. In any circumstance where a conventional respirator may not provide adequate protection, breathing equipment should always be used instead.
